ABSTRACT
The actual organizational benefits of diversity in the workforce in terms of gender, race and age have remained hotly contested over the years. Now that the tide of economic expansion is moving the debate from the west to the east, it is important to consider the argument in a global light. To this end this paper focusing on Singapore, the economic capital of Asia and comparing it to its western counterparts in Europe and the US as well as its Asian neighbor Malaysia seeks to answer this question.
