The case examines the difficult situation, Murtaza Hashmi, Manager Administration, Ayesha Memorial Hospital finds himself on 5 September, 2015. As a new addition to the hospital administration three months ago, Murtaza had quickly initiated reforms and changes to the hospital processes in an effort to improve the hospital’s performance. However, he had also irked some of the old management in the process.At the conclusion of Case A, Murtaza Hashmi finds himself with a letter for a Disciplinary Committee investigation against him, on allegations of misuse of authority, torture and sexual harassment. The case examines his options in a situation where the status quo with greater resources and credibility are preparing to take a stab at his character. The second part of the Case focuses on the decisions Murtaza Hashmi takes, the resources and the valuable alliances he uses in order to escape the situation unscathed. The epilogue discusses how his initial alliances that withstood earlier attacks from the opposition, begin to weaken once circumstances change and a mutual opponent no longer exists
