In the spirit of Ramadan, a time of reflection, compassion, and generosity, CBS launched the second edition of its community engagement initiative, #JoiningHandsofKindness. The initiative aims to promote empathy and meaningful service among university students through small but impactful acts of kindness.
As part of this year’s initiative, CBS organized a one-day visit to “Mera Ghar Orphanage”, run by the Equal Foundation Society, on Wednesday, March 26, 2025. The visit was designed to bring joy, warmth, and companionship to children residing at the orphanage.
To prepare for this, CBS conducted a volunteer recruitment drive across all five schools at LUMS. Eight students were selected to join the visit based on their enthusiasm and commitment to social impact. These volunteers, along with the CBS team, spent the day engaging with the children through games, conversations, storytelling, and creative activities. The visit was a heartfelt expression of the values that define this holy month. It reminded everyone involved, children and students alike, of the importance of compassion, community, and shared humanity.
CBS is proud to continue fostering a culture of service and kindness on campus and looks forward to more such engagements in the future.
