CBS-LUMS, in proud partnership with Kaarvan Crafts Foundation, hosted the dynamic “Women Microenterprise Exhibition: #BridgingTheGap” on Saturday, April 19, 2025.

This impactful event was held in collaboration with the British Asian Trust and Shirakat–Partnership for Development, uniting efforts to amplify women’s economic empowerment across Pakistan.

The exhibition brought together over 75 inspiring female microentrepreneurs from more than 10 districts, including Faisalabad, Multan, Muzaffargarh, Sialkot, and Rahim Yar Khan. These women showcased an extraordinary range of handcrafted products—embroidered apparel, artisanal footwear, jewellery, candles, organic foods, and skincare—each created with skill, heart, and sheer resilience from within their homes.

These entrepreneurs are more than just businesswomen—they are visionaries, change agents, and community leaders. Every stall was a living narrative of creativity, grit, and empowerment.

What truly set this event apart was that most of these women are graduates of CBS’ flagship initiative: “#BridgingTheGap: Digital Literacy and Life Skills Workshop for Female Microentrepreneurs.” Since its inception in 2022, the program has equipped over 250 women across Punjab with the tools, confidence, and digital acumen to launch and sustain their businesses.

This exhibition was not just a marketplace, it was a celebration of possibility, a testament to transformation, and a bold statement of inclusion and growth. It embodied CBS’ unwavering commitment to advancing the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), particularly SDG 5: Gender Equality, by championing women’s empowerment through education, entrepreneurship, and digital innovation.
