#JoiningHandsofKindness: Visit to an Old Age Home

As a part of its flagship #JoiningHandsofKindness initiative rooted in fostering empathy and generosity among the community at large, CBS organized the second edition of an Old Age Home visit on February 20, 2025. 

Spending time with the elderly is more than just a visit, it’s about sharing stories, laughter, and kindness across generations. 7 students onboarded from across the five schools at LUMS spent a heartwarming day at Heaven Old Age Home, engaging with the residents through interactive activities, storytelling, and meaningful conversations. From listening to their life experiences to playing games and sharing meals, the visit was filled with moments of joy and connection. The day concluded with the distribution of care bags by the volunteers to the elderly residents. 

The onboarded volunteers included the following:

Witnessing the smiles and warmth exchanged, it was a reminder of the importance of companionship and the impact of small gestures of care. A big thank you to the residents for welcoming us with open hearts.  The visit was held in the spirit of upholding the true essence of the holy month of Ramazan through compassion and togetherness.
