Training Programme on "Performance Management in Universal Healthcare"

Centre for Business and Society (CBS-LUMS) organized a multifaceted training session under its mandate of conducting annual training programmes that are rooted in the development of the public sector.


The programme titled “Performance Management in Universal Healthcare” was hosted in Suleman Dawood School of Business from January 2 – January 6, 2023.  

The centre on-boarded various faculty members from SDSB-LUMS. The programme director was Dr. Mohsin Bashir (Associate Professor, SDSB-LUMS) and Kashif Khan (Executive in Residence, SDSB-LUMS) served as the programme Co-Director. Dr. Hassan Rauf (Assistant Professor, SDSB-LUMS) was also a part of the team of faculty members leading the training.  

The programme featured 19 participants from three organisations: NADRA (National Database and Registration Authority), SLIC (State Life Insurance Corporation of Pakistan) and the Government of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Health Department.  

The training sessions that spanned across five days, featured an activity and interactive based learning approach with various group exercises and presentations focused on developing more effective healthcare indicators in Pakistan and how to efficiently provide those services to the general public, while developing a sustainable skillset of the workforce and synergizing organizational goals and objectives.
